Candied cranberries

Candied cranberries have a high energy value of around 340 kcal per 100 grams. Fresh cranberries are a source of vitamin C and manganese, but it also contains important polyphenols – antioxidants. The candied cranberries also contain certain amount of elder flower juice.

Polyphenols are known enhancers and stimulants of the immune system, whereas the cranberry has a diuretic effect.Elder flower is also a rich source of polyphenols; it also contains a substantial amount of essential oil which has a local anti-inflammatory effect.
